Are you looking to start your career in healthcare administration? DHU Healthcare is offering an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Receptionist Apprentices within GP Practices across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (LLR).

Location: LLR GP Practices

Contract Type: Full-time Apprenticeship

Salary:  

  • Band 0.0 - Apprentice - £7.55 per hour - £14,763.00
  • Band 0.1: 18 to 20- £10.00 per hour - £19,554.00
  • Band 2: 21 and over (living wage) - £12.21 an hour - £23,875.00

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing a welcoming front-desk reception service for patients and visitors

  • Managing telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately

  • Booking and rescheduling patient appointments efficiently

  • Ensuring the reception area remains clean and organised

  • Maintaining and updating patient records in SystmOne

  • Supporting administrative tasks such as data entry, correspondence, and filing

  • Assisting with safeguarding, infection prevention, and confidentiality procedures

What We’re Looking For:

  • A passion for customer service and healthcare administration

  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email systems)

  • Strong communication and organisational abilities

  • The ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing demands

  • A positive, team-player attitude with the ability to work independently

  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to different GP practices when required
