The Clinical Service Lead provides senior clinical and operational leadership for Urgent Care services. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Services and working closely with the Clinical Director, the post holder ensures safe, effective and responsive delivery across in-hours and out-of-hours periods, meeting contractual standards, quality expectations and key performance indicators.
As a Clinical Service Lead, you will:
- Provide visible senior clinical leadership across urgent care services, ensuring high standards of patient safety, clinical governance, and compliance with NQS, CQC, and KPI requirements.
- Oversee clinical quality and risk management through audits, reviews, and data analysis, identifying themes and implementing continuous improvement actions.
- Lead day-to-day operational delivery of urgent care services, ensuring safe capacity, timely patient access, efficient flow, and effective management of performance issues and risks.
- Manage and support multidisciplinary clinical teams, including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, appraisal, supervision, and performance management to maintain a skilled and sustainable workforce.
- Foster a positive, values-driven culture where staff feel supported, expectations are clear, and teams are empowered to deliver safe, effective, patient-centred care.
