DHU Healthcare is inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced Contractor GPs to support our services across East Leicestershire Same Day Access provisions.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a compassionate, professional and patient-focused organisation delivering high-quality urgent care services to local communities. As part of our multidisciplinary teams, GPs play a vital role in providing safe, effective and responsive care.

Salary: £90 per hour

Available Locations - East Leicestershire Same Day Access

Applicants can express a preference for one or more of the following sites:

St Luke’s, Market Harborough

  • Monday – Friday: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Sunday: 10:00am – 2:00pm
  • Bank Holidays: 10:00am – 2:00pm

Melton Mowbray – Urgent Care Centre (ELRUCC), Melton Mowbray Hospital

  • Monday – Friday: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Sunday: 10:00am – 2:00pm
  • Bank Holidays: 10:00am – 2:00pm

Lutterworth – Lutterworth Urgent Care Centre, Fielding Palmer Hospital

  • Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Sunday: 10:00am – 2:00pm

Forest Medical Group - Warren Lane Surgery

  • Monday – Friday: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Sunday: 10:00am – 2:00pm
  • Bank Holidays: 10:00am – 2:00pm

Oadby – Oadby Urgent Care Centre (ELRUCC)

  • Monday – Friday: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Sunday: 10:00am – 2:00pm
  • Bank Holidays: 10:00am – 2:00pm

Role Overview

The GP will provide high-quality clinical care to patients presenting with urgent and routine conditions. Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients presenting with undifferentiated conditions
  • Providing clinical advice and management in urgent care and primary care settings
  • Delivering safe prescribing and appropriate referrals
  • Supporting multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and participating in audits and clinical governance activities
  • Providing safety-netting advice and promoting patient self-care where appropriate

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold MRCGP (or equivalent qualification)
  • Be fully registered with the GMC with a Licence to Practise
  • Be included on a GP Performers List
  • Show commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and high-quality patient care
