Location: Northampton General Hospital, Northampton NN1 5BD

Working Pattern: An average of 6.29 hours per week over a 6-week rota

Week 1 - Sunday - 6pm - 10:59pm

Week 2 - Friday - 11pm - 8am

            - Saturday - 6pm - 10:59pm

Week 4 - Sunday - 1pm - 5:59pm

Week 5 - Saturday - 11pm - 7:59am

Week 6 - Sunday - 6:15pm - 10:59pm

Competitive salary: £25,416 per annum (pro rata) DHU Band 4.0

Generous annual leave entitlement: Standard 25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing with service up to 33 days + 8 bank holidays. Pro Rata/ Per Annum

What your typical day looks like: 

  • Track location of Drivers/GP’s on home visits and ensure allocation of calls if efficiently managed to provide seamless patient care and avoid breaches of procedure.
  • Monitor and prioritise urgent call backs to ensure immediate management of call amalgamation.
  • Receive and dispatch calls from secondary partners
  • Dispatch calls within 2 minutes of receipt, ensuring effective and efficient use of all available resources
  •  To be able to accurately fill out any requested data spreadsheets as and when required

To be a successful Advanced Practitioner you’ll need:

  • A high standard of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confident decision making
  • Previous experience in call handling and dispatching
  • Demonstrates accountability for your own actions and the ability to support the contact centre management team where necessary
