About the role:
The post holder will be part of a team based at Bassetlaw Hospital. The post holder will provide reception, associated administrative services with some clinical aspects of patient care. The receptionist will be part of a multi-professional/skilled team including medical, nurse practitioner and support staff providing accessible services to the population across Bassetlaw and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities: Reception
- Welcome patients with appointments as they arrive at the Primary Care Centre following triage by the clinician.
- Inform medical professionals of any change in patient details or medical presentations.
- Maintain a tidy workplace environment in the healthcare setting.
- To work in compliance with Infection Control, Health and Safety Procedures and Information governance. To adhere Caldicott principles to ensure the maintenance of Data Security
- Dealing with patient enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner
Responsibilities- Clinical
- Carrying out patient observations working alongside trained clinical staff.
- Offering reassurance to vulnerable patients whilst in the centre.
- To have an awareness of health deterioration, early warning scores and to escalate as necessary.
- Assistance and application of dressings.
- Undertaking further training to extend skills e.g. basic wound closure, recording ECGs as required.

Essential Qualifications:
- 4 GCSEs Grades A-C or equivalent including English and Mathematics or relevant experience.
- Typing/Word Processing skills. RSA II qualification or appropriate keyboard skills (desirable)

- Effective communication skills with a variety of media and all levels of staff with the company as well as external agencies

- Excellent and accurate record keeping
- Excellent telephone manner
