Service Advisor - Oldbury

Salary: £10.94 per hour

Evenings: 30% enhancement

Weekends: 45% enhancement

Part Time: 24 hours per week (Four on / Four off)

Location: Birchfield, Oldbury, West Midlands

As a Service Advisor you will be answering telephone calls from patients requiring medical assistance and from other external parties, recording information on the call logging computer system, signpost patients to the appropriate care from colleagues and carry out reception and administrative duties. You will use agreed DHU Health Care, NHS Pathways and 111 policies, protocols and standards.

You will need to complete NHS Pathways and system training to enable you to successfully undertake this role.


To be a successful Service Advisor you’ll need;

  • To be able to work evenings, weekends (Out of Hours Period), including working 3 out of 4 weekends and 6 out of 8 bank holidays.

  • A good general standard of education (GCSE Grade C or above, including English) or equivalent relevant work based experience

  • To demonstrate previous experience of working with the general public either face to face or over the phone

  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner

  • Good keyboard/computer skills

  • To work quickly and accurately under pressure

  • Be willing to learn new skills and receive feedback on your performance
