Location: Derby (with flexibility to work across DHU sites including Oldbury and Chesterfield, plus occasional travel)
Salary: £30,809

As Technical Planning Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening analytical capability across Workforce Management (WFM), supporting operational performance and shaping smarter planning models across the NHS 111 estate.
Working closely with the Head of WFM, Planning teams and Operational leaders, you’ll transform complex datasets into meaningful insight, develop innovative planning tools and act as the on-site technical lead for planning analytics. Your work will directly influence service delivery, resource optimisation and patient experience.
This role is ideal for an internal colleague with strong technical and analytical skills who’s ready to step into a specialist, high-impact role and help drive performance across contact centre operations.

- Own and develop analytical capability within WFM Planning teams
- Lead on planning insight creation and reporting development
- Design and enhance WFM planning models across NHS 111 operations
- Create tools that support operational decision-making and performance improvement
- Deliver “what-if” analysis to support achievement of key operational KPIs
- Use data from systems such as IEX WFM, NICE CXOne, Power BI and SQL to identify performance drivers across Front Office, Back Office and Outbound channels
- Maintain WFM webpages and planning scorecards, ensuring accuracy and relevance
- Coach and upskill planning colleagues on new analytical tools and approaches
- Support real-time operational performance analysis including adherence, forecast accuracy and customer behaviour
- Act as the planning analytics interface between Workforce Planning and Operations
- Contribute to tactical and strategic resource planning cycles across the wider contact centre environment
