This role presents the chance to further develop your operational leadership skills while continuing to support the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality patient care across our services. As part of the operational management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring service excellence, supporting colleagues, and maintaining our strong commitment to patient-focused care.

What DHU Can Offer You
Working Pattern:
37.5 hours per week (Full Time)
Working pattern between Monday–Friday with occasional weekend/on-call requirement.
Tactical on-call duties in line with the clinical and operational on-call rota.
Salary:
DHU Band 7.0 (£47,440)
Annual Leave:
25 days + 8 bank holidays (increasing with service up to 33 days + 8 bank holidays) – Pro Rata / Per Annum

What Your Typical Day Looks Like
- Provide operational leadership and full support to the Senior Management Team to ensure services operate effectively and efficiently, meeting contractual requirements.
- Lead and manage all non-clinical staff within the service.
- Ensure operational efficiency through effective workforce planning and resource allocation within budget constraints.
- Support the development and implementation of policies and protocols, ensuring compliance with DHU policies and legislative requirements.
- Proactively manage staffing requirements across Operations and Clinical Services.
- Oversee recruitment, performance management, appraisals, and employee relations matters.
- Identify, assess, and support staff training needs in collaboration with DHU Corporate Services.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable management experience leading and motivating large teams.
- Previous NHS management responsibility and experience.
- Experience working within a busy service environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proven networking and negotiation skills.
