Location: Loughborough Urgent Treatment Centre (LUTC), Loughborough Hospital, Hospital Way, Loughborough, Leicestershire,LE11 5JY
Contract Type: BANK
Salary: Band 2 - £23,8755 (Pro rata per annum)
Hours: Zero hours Bank contract.
The role:
We are looking for a Receptionist to support our clinical staff and patients at our urgent care hubs. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service for patients and clinicians.
- Ensure the reception area and consultation rooms are prepared and maintained for patient care.
- Manage patient appointments using SystmOne and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Assist clinicians with administrative tasks, including processing prescriptions and referral letters
- Adhere to infection prevention & control protocols and ensure all necessary equipment is available.
- Respond to patient and colleague inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all safeguarding policies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous reception experience (preferably in a healthcare setting)
- Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, and email systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a busy environment
- A team player with a compassionate and professional attitude
- Flexibility to cover shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (preferred)
