Job Title: Receptionist – Urgent Care Division

Location: Loughborough Urgent Treatment Centre (LUTC), Loughborough Hospital, Hospital Way, Loughborough, Leicestershire,LE11 5JY

Contract Type: BANK

Salary: Band 2 - £23,8755 (Pro rata per annum) 

Hours: Zero hours Bank contract. 

The role:

We are looking for a Receptionist to support our clinical staff and patients at our urgent care hubs. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service for patients and clinicians.
  • Ensure the reception area and consultation rooms are prepared and maintained for patient care.
  • Manage patient appointments using SystmOne and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Assist clinicians with administrative tasks, including processing prescriptions and referral letters
  • Adhere to infection prevention & control protocols and ensure all necessary equipment is available.
  • Respond to patient and colleague inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all safeguarding policies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous reception experience (preferably in a healthcare setting)
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, and email systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a busy environment
  • A team player with a compassionate and professional attitude
  • Flexibility to cover shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (preferred)
