Are you a reliable, adaptable, and friendly Receptionist with a passion for supporting patient care? DHU Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time Receptionist to join our dedicated Primary Care team at Buxton Medical Practice.

Hours: 37.5 hours
Salary: £23,875 per annum (Band 2)

What Your Typical Day Looks Like:
Welcoming and assisting patients in a friendly, professional manner
Managing incoming calls and messages, including appointment bookings and home visit requests
Using SystmOne to update and maintain accurate patient records
Typing outgoing correspondence and data entry tasks
Supporting the team with general reception duties and daily administrative tasks
Ensuring the reception and waiting areas are clean, tidy, and ready for colleagues and patients
Handling patient enquiries with empathy and discretion
Summarising records and managing filing systems effectively
To Be a Successful Administrator/Receptionist, You’ll Need:
Essential:
Previous administration experience
Good IT literacy, especially with MS Word and Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage priorities and work independently
Self-motivated and adaptable to changing service needs
Desirable:
Experience in a healthcare or GP practice environment
Familiarity with SystmOne and NHS systems
Full valid driving licence and ability to travel to other DHU bases as needed
