Join the dynamic team at the Primary Care Centre! Welcome patients after triage, support clinical staff with observations, and keep medical teams updated on any changes. Offer comfort to vulnerable patients and assist with admin tasks—playing a key role in a fast-paced, caring environment.
Position: Receptionist/Healthcare Assistant
Location: Bassetlaw Hospital, Kilton Hill, Worksop, S81 0BD
Working Patterns: Bank Contract, 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
Competitive salary: DHU Band 2.0, £23,875 per annum (pro rata)
What your typical day looks like:
- Welcome patients with appointments as they arrive at the Primary Care Centre following triage by the clinician.
- Inform medical professionals of any change in patient details or medical presentations.
- Carrying out patient observations working alongside trained clinical staff.
- Offering reassurance to vulnerable patients whilst in the centre.
- Assist in general administrative and clerical duties and maintain manual/computerised records as required.
To be a successful Receptionist/Healthcare Assistant you’ll need:
- 4 GCSEs Grades A-C or equivalent including English and Mathematics or relevant experience.
- Previous experience of working with the public in a busy environment
- Communication with a variety of people and services
- Effective communication skills with a variety of media and all levels of staff with the company as well as external agencies
- Ability to use initiative
