What your typical day looks like:
- Provide autonomous, advanced clinical care
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and refer patients effectively
- Conduct and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations
- Initiate specialist referrals where appropriate
- Maintain high-quality clinical records
- Participate in policy development and clinical audits
To be a successful Advanced Practitioner you’ll need:
- Professional Registration – NMC, HCPC, or GPhC
- Independent Prescriber – Registered as a non-medical prescriber
- Education – Minimum of two Level 7 modules, including clinical assessment skills
- Experience – Autonomous practice in multi-professional teams
- Proven ability to assess and manage complex conditions in adults and children
