Are you an organised, detail-oriented, and compassionate professional with a passion for supporting patient care? DHU Healthcare is seeking a Dispenser to join our dedicated team at Eyam Surgery, helping us deliver safe, accurate, and friendly dispensary services to our local community.

Contract: 12-month fixed term contract
Hours: 0 hours
Competitive Salary: £24,071 (band 3) per annum, pro rata

What Your Typical Day Looks Like:
Preparing and dispensing medicines prescribed by clinicians accurately and promptly
Providing a professional, courteous, and friendly service to patients, both face-to-face and over the phone
Managing stock control, reordering supplies, and ensuring all medicines are safely stored and in date
Handling prescription payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and balancing takings
Supporting the dispensary team by covering absences when required
Keeping all dispensing equipment in good working order and ensuring the dispensary is clean and secure
Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for dispensing practices
Preparing prescriptions for submission to the Pricing Authority
Collaborating with colleagues, attending staff meetings, and contributing to service improvements
To Be a Successful Dispenser You’ll Need:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and support colleagues when needed
Confidence in handling stock management and financial processes
Awareness of confidentiality, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements
Flexibility to meet service needs, including cover for colleagues during absence
