Information Governance and ISO Support Officer

Location: Derby with some travel required 

Salary £29,970 (Band 5)

Contract Type: Permanent 


As a Information Governance and ISO Support Officer you will provide administrative and operational support promoting good governance practice across the organisation. coordinating governance and ISO documentation and assisting in maintaining IG and ISO records


What your typical day looks like:

  • Day-to-day line management responsibility of the Information requests Team
  • Assisting in the delivery of DHU’s Information Governance strategy and related work programs
  • Supporting the coordination of IG training by managing materials, scheduling sessions, and maintaining training records
  • Maintaining structured filing systems, document libraries and governance records to support audit and reporting
  • Supporting and conducting audits related to the function employed such as Data Access Audits, ISO internal audits and DSPT preparation audits
  • Day to day management of the ISO Action Tracker, updating and reporting on the completion of outstanding actions and non-conformances from ISO audits.
  • Assisting with maintaining records and documents relating to ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 27001 (Information Security), and ISO 22301 (Business Continuity) management system
  • Helping to maintain and update ISO policies and procedures under the guidance of the ISO Business Systems Manager
  • Supporting the coordination of internal and external audits, including scheduling, document preparation, and tracking follow-up actions


What the Successful in this role, you will need:

  • IG or ISO-related training/certification (e.g. GDPR foundation, ISO awareness)
  • Previous experience supporting ISO management systems
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 / 27001 / 22301 standards
  • Experience of working in a healthcare or public sector environment
  • Experience using information governance or quality management software systems
  • Ability to analyse data for reporting purposes
