An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time position in the Non Clinical CQI and DoS Lead role.
DHU 111 provides telephone assessment and advice for patients living in the East Midlands, Milton Keynes, South and North London, Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire Region. The CQI and DoS Lead role provides an excellent opportunity for personal development in quality improvement and leadership within our advice centres and remote workers by developing the right conditions in which learning can flourish through an ethic of continuous learning. The CQI and DoS Leads provide expertise and are responsible for delivering a programme of quality improvement, education and training. The post holder will be responsible for the successful set up and testing of new services and appointment booking within an integrated urgent care model. They will act as a Directory of Service Lead for DHU 111 and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to improve the accurateness of the Directory of Services to ensure patients get the right care, first time.
We are looking for an individual with experience and drive to develop quality improvements and governance which will help to improve patient journeys through the NHS 111 service and integrated urgent care. The successful candidate must be accredited to use the NHS 111 Pathways Support Software and have significant experience of quality improvement. The successful candidate must be committed to developing and embedding a culture of continuous quality improvement by creating and developing organisational systems, training and resources that support DHU 111 quality improvement strategy.
The ideal candidate will be:
  • An Accredited NHS Pathways’ expert user
  • Able to demonstrate sound expertise in Adastra, the DOS and their relationships with the NHS Pathways system
  • Able to easily grasp technical processes and to communicate these to others in a clear and logical manner
  • Knowledgeable in Continuous Quality Improvement within 111
  • Be proactive as well as have strong organisational and time management skills
  • Able to work unsocial hours (including a minimum of 3 out of 4 weekends)
  • Able to regularly travel to all sites and external meeting locations across the country representing DHU in a professional manner, as required.
