Join Our Team as an Occupational Health Administrator.

Are you an organised, proactive professional with a passion for health and wellbeing? At DHU Health Care , we’re looking for a dedicated individual to take ownership of our Case Management Process and play a key role in delivering exceptional Occupational Health Services. Working both independently and alongside our Head of Occupational Health, you’ll ensure smooth, efficient administration and coordination across internal teams and external clients. Competitive salary: £24071-£25675

Generous annual leave entitlement: Standard 25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing with service up to 33 days + 8 bank holidays. Pro Rata/ Per Annum

What your typical day looks like:

  • To provide administrative support to the occupational health team and as required confidential support to the Head of Occupational Health.
  • Respond in a timely manner to the referring managers and employees to ensure appropriate triage of cases is understood and waiting times are empathetically explained. 
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and maintain and develop filing and other reference systems ensuring confidentiality is always maintained.
  • Maintain accurate policies, procedures, and case management records log, including monthly clinician compliance checks.
  • Assist with the planning of departmental activities on an ongoing basis, ensuring all annual role medicals and health screens are completed. 
  • Support and coordinate the health promotions clinics.
  • Prepare and provide information to the Health and Wellbeing Lead, as required.

To be a successful occupational health administrator you will need:

  • Experience within Occupational Health setting.
  • Administration experience of 5 years preferably in a health care sector.
  • A good general standard of education, including English GCSE (or equivalent).
  • A relevant professional health qualification or working towards/wanting to work towards.
  • IT proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience of file management and maintenance.
  • Awareness or involvement with the SEQOHS Accreditation and preparation programme would be helpful.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative. 
  • Occasional Travel to other sites may be required, including Leicester, Chesterfield, and Oldbury.
