Location: Ashgate Manor, Chesterfield or Orbis, Derby

Salary: £24544 (Band 2.0)

Working hours: Bank (zero hours)

This role sits at the heart of patient care, acting as the first point of contact for individuals accessing urgent and primary care services. As a Patient Services Assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring patients are supported, informed, and guided efficiently through their care journey. Your contribution directly impacts patient experience, service quality, and the smooth coordination of clinical teams, making you an essential part of delivering compassionate, responsive healthcare.

As a Patient Service Assistant, you will:

  • Manage incoming calls and coordinate patient appointments efficiently 
  • Welcome and support patients attending the Primary Care Centre 
  • Work closely with clinicians, nurse practitioners, and operational teams 
  • Accurately capture and record patient information using systems such as Adastra 
  • Provide administrative support, including minute taking and data collation 
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and professional reception environment 
  • Act as a key link between patients, healthcare professionals, and external partners to ensure seamless care delivery
