Systems Data Analyst - Apprenticeship
Are you ready to take your first step into the world of data analytics while making a real difference in patient care? DHU is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Workforce Intelligence team as an Apprentice Data Analyst.
As one of England’s leading providers of NHS 111 services, we manage over 4.5 million calls a year, supporting a population of 11 million across the Midlands, Milton Keynes, and London. Based at our Orbis Building in Pride Park, Derby, this site-based role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge workforce planning tools, including NICE IEX WFM, CXOne, Excel, and Power BI. While working closely with our expert analysts, you'll also complete a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship over 15 months (plus a 3-month end point assessment), with dedicated time set aside for training and development.

Competitive salary: £26530 (Band 4 )
Generous annual leave entitlement: Standard 25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing with service up to 33 days + 8 bank holidays. Pro Rata/ Per Annum
What your typical day looks like:
- Assist with rota analysis, capacity data preparation, and performance dashboards
- Support reporting of ACD and WFM metrics to inform shift planning and KPI tracking
- Help maintain and optimise reports, forms, and visual tools using Power BI
- Learn SQL basics and support routine data validation and audit tasks
- Take part in change activities and improvement planning with senior analysts
- Carry out any other duties as deemed appropriate for the role, within the scope of the apprenticeship and under supervision
To be a successful Systems Data Analyst Apprentice you’ll need:
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent
- Interest in data, healthcare workforce planning, and digital tools
- Strong attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Willingness to be site-based and work as part of a team
